Disabled individuals (18+) and seniors over the age of 65 can take advantage of Lisle Township's diverse transportation options.

Lisle Township Transportation Program
Lisle Township provides two paratransit equipped vehicles for seniors (65+) and disabled persons (18+) to travel within the Township boundaries. Exceptions are hospitals and adjacent doctors offices. Ride pick-up is from curb to curb. All drivers are PACE bus trained.
Transportation Hours are Monday through Friday. First pick-up can be scheduled at 7:30 a.m. Last pick-up can be scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Trips outside our service hours should be made through Ride DuPage.
To Register, Lisle Township residents must have a photo ID with their application. Proof of residency in Lisle Township is required if the address on the ID is not a Lisle Township address. Applications can be found at the link below or in-person at the Township office.
If you are registered with Ride DuPage, you are automatically a part of the Lisle Township Program.
Ride Fare is a $3.00 flat fee per ride.
To Schedule a Ride, call the Lisle Township Office at (630) 968-2087 or (630) 349-0672. Reservations for rides should be made 48 hours in advance. Same day or next day rides may be accommodated based on capacity, but is discouraged.
Ride DuPage
Ride DuPage is a transportation program in Lisle Township and throughout DuPage County that provides bus or taxi services for residents who need travel assistance, those aged 65 and over, and persons with disabilities.
Transportation Hours are 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
To Register, Lisle Township residents must have a photo ID with their application. Proof of residency in Lisle Township is required if the address on the ID is not a Lisle Township address. If a client intends to use Ride DuPage for work, they must have an ADA or RTA reduced fare number/card. Applications can be found at the link below or in-person at the Township office. If you are registered with Lisle Township Transportation Program, you are automatically a part of the Ride DuPage transportation program.
Ride Fare is a $2.00 fee to enter the vehicle, then $1.00 per mile.
To Schedule a Ride call 1-800-713-7445. Reservation hours are between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week. Rides can be scheduled one day to one week ahead. Same day reservations are not guaranteed. For more information, visit there website.
RTA Free/Reduced Fare Program
The RTA (Regional Transportation Authority) Free/Reduced Fare Permit Program allows senior adults (ages 65 or over) and qualified people with disabilities to ride all RTA fixed-route services for free or at a reduced fare rate. The fixed-route services include CTA buses & trains, Metra trains, and Pace buses in the six-county region of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, & Will.
Lisle Township residents may apply for the RTA Free or Reduced Fare Permit at Lisle Township Supervisor’s Office. Apply in-person Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or online with RTA here.
To Apply For The Reduced Fare Permit, you must complete the RTA Application and present a valid/not expired photo ID card such as a driver’s license, state ID card, passport, or other official government-issued identification with your photo and birth date for age verification. Additional documents are required for persons with a disability under the age of 65. You will need to provide proof of disability by submitting one of the following: SSI or SSDI benefit letter, Medicare card, Disability ID card, VA Benefit Letter, a completed Reduced Fare Application Professional Verification form, or a letter from a physician verifying your disability. Our staff will then take your picture for your permit at our office.
To Qualify For The Ride Free Program, you must be enrolled in the Benefit Access Program and present the same documents as stated above. To apply for or verify your Benefit Access Program eligibility, you can make an appointment with our Senior Service Director - Terri C., or online at this link.
Clients should receive their pass within 2 weeks after applying.
