Senior Services
Lisle Township’s Senior Services Department provides application assistance for the below programs that promote wellness and independence for resident seniors in our community. Contact the Director of Senior Services, Terri Caraballo, at (630) 349-0328 for questions or to schedule an appointment.
Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
SHIP is a free, state-wide counseling service that provides assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. SHIP counselors help individuals understand and navigate Medicare, Medicare Supplement plans, long-term care insurance, and other health insurance options.
Extra Help
Extra Help is a Social Security program designed to assist individuals with limited income and resources in covering the costs associated with Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. This program can significantly reduce or eliminate costs like premiums, deductibles, and copayments associated with prescription drugs.
Medicaid
Medicaid provides health coverage to millions of Americans, including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and people with disabilities.
SNAP
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps low-income people and families buy the food they need for good health.
LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program)
LIHEAP is a program that assists eligible households with paying for utilities. Applications are completed through Lisle Township and are sent to the County for processing. This program runs from October 1 through Aug 15 or until funds are no longer available.
Benefit Access Program
Benefit Access is an income-based program that provides benefits to seniors and disabled individuals. These benefits include discounted license plate fees and a free ride on fixed-route transit systems. The program is administered by the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA).

TRIAD
Triad is a partnership of Law Enforcement, Senior Citizens, and Community Groups. The mission of our local Triad is to enrich the lives and safety of all senior citizens in Lisle and Naperville Townships.
Triad empowers senior citizens to become involved in the educational and practical aspects of crime prevention within their community. Through the cooperation of several local governments, law enforcement agencies, fire protection districts, senior services providers, park districts, and volunteers, the Naperville/Lisle Triad presents programs that enhance safety and increase senior involvement in community programs.
