The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists eligible low-income households in paying for winter energy services. This program ends for each season on May 31st.
Winter 2012-13 LIHEAP will begin at 8:30 AM on September 4th for those in Priority group 1:
Households with a person age 60 or older or a household with a person recieving social security disability benefits.
Calls for Priority Group 2 will take place on October 1st at 8:30 AM for households with a child under the age of 5
Calls for anyone else will be taken starting at 8:30 AM on November 1st.
In all cases, the call-in process places your name on a call back list in the order the call in was made. The township voice mail will time stamp your call and leaving a message is the same as speaking directly with a township employee as long as it is after the designated call in time.
