📢LISLE TOWNSHIP ROAD DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the Illinois Highway Code (605 ILCS 5/6-305) the Highway Commissioner of the Lisle Township Road District will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Lisle Junior High School for the purposes of (a) examining Ivanhoe Avenue (“Avenue”) that is under the District’s jurisdiction; and (b) considering permanently altering the Avenue into a cul-de-sac or dead-end street or in some other manner to reduce traffic flow. The Commissioner will hear reasons for and against the proposed street alterations at the hearing. All interested parties will be allowed to be heard at the hearing. Written comments can be submitted via mail before the hearing to the Office of the Lisle Township Road District, 4719 Indiana Avenue, Lisle, Illinois 60532. Comments can also be submitted via email at highway@lisletownship.com. On June 10, 2022, Governor Pritzker signed the Decennial Committee on Local Government Efficiency Act, 50 ILCS 70/1 et seq., into law. This law requires Illinois townships, road districts, and township multi-assessment districts to convene a committee to study and report on local government efficiency. There are specific actions your entity must take to comply with this law by no later than June 10, 2023.

Good Afternoon Lisle Township Community:
Over the past several months, the need for increased financial understanding and checks and balances became apparent to provide transparency and better options to the Board and the community. With this in mind, we are excited to announce a redelegation of duties to help strengthen our financial stewardship, expand services to the community, and improve our communication. As a strengthened township team, we are now able to grow services as promised to the community.
Linda Nayder & Associates will be doing the financial duties that require the most oversight, including payroll, accounts payable, budget, levy, and audit functions, and overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping. lnayder@nayder.com

Lisa Rose will become the Director of Communications and Outreach. She will be responsible for the website, the FaceBook page, and the Township Newsletter. Due to her background in community organizing, she will be responsible for coordinating Township events and creating outreach programs to partner with nonprofits, governmental entities, and community organizations. Barry Robinson to be new Lisle Township Trustee
LISLE TOWNSHIP, IL - Lisle Township Supervisor Diane Hewitt announces the appointment of Barry Robinson as Lisle Township Trustee, to replace Lisa Rose, who took a position within the Township as Operations Manager.
Barry has been a resident of Lisle Township since April 1997 and a member of the Lisle Township Democratic Organization. “I am a strong believer in the importance of good government and the positive role that government should play in the lives of its citizens.” An elected Precinct Committee Person representing precinct 022, Barry has worked to connect neighborhood residents with resources to make them aware of upcoming elections and their choices on the ballots.
For the past 20 years, Barry has been an active volunteer serving in leadership roles across a number of Naperville organizations, supporting the activities and interests of his family. With a background in IT leadership and strategic consulting of organizations across a wide range of industries, Trustee Robinson will work to find ways to increase the effectiveness of the services that Lisle Township provides to its residents.
Barry will be sworn-in to office on Monday, December 19, 10:30 am, at the Lisle Township Supervisor’s Office, 4711 Indiana Ave, Lisle, IL.

Are you interested in being a Lisle Township Trustee?
Lisa Rose resigned as Trustee in order to do more for Lisle Township as the Operations Manager. Do you have a public servant’s heart? Have you lived in Lisle Township for over a year? Are you a Democrat? (A requirement to replace the trustee of the same party.) We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30PM. We will take letters of interest and resumes sent to the Supervisor below until November 7th. Interviews will be done on an ongoing basis.
Lisle Township Annual Clean-Up Day is Saturday, October 22, 2022
All residents who participate in curbside collection programs for the unincorporated areas (subscription cart service or the sticker program) will have the option of disposing of an unlimited amount of refuse and household debris by placing it curbside for pick up. The material must be prepared in the same manner as you would for any other collection day.
To participate, all residents who have service with LRS must affix 5 Lisle Township purple service stickers to materials set out for disposal. All items must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. to ensure collection as crews will be unable to return to an area once they’ve passed through.
