General Assistance

 

 

 

The Township offers the following financial assistance programs to families and individuals in need.

GENERAL ASSISTANCE

Financial aid to meet the basic needs of individuals for health and well being. In order

to be eligible, a person must meet the financial and non-financial requirements, and have

no other potential means of income. This is an ongoing grant program with Work Program requirements.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

Financial assistance to alleviate a life threatening circumstance or meet a basic need such

as food, rent, utilities, prescriptions, or personal hygiene items.  Assistance is issued once

in a 12 month period to Township residents who meet the financial eligibility requirement.

SALVATION ARMY

Funds for the villages of Lisle and Woodridge are issued through the Township.  These limited funds are used to meet a financial crisis such as utility disconnection, lack of medication or possible eviction.

LIHEAP

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists eligible low-income households in paying for winter energy services.  This program ends for each season on May 31st.

CIRCUIT BREAKER

Circuit Breaker is an Illinois Department of Revenue program that provides for tax relief

and pharmaceutical assistance to income eligible seniors and the disabled.
