Holiday Program In Need of Sponsors

Holiday Program

For over two decades, the township holiday program has served needy families and individuals. The holiday program serves as a center to coordinate matching  sponsors with families needing help during the holiday season. There are several components to the holiday program, including family sponsorship, food drives and special holiday food and toy distributions.

The cornerstone of the holiday program is family sponsorship. Generous individuals, businesses, service organizations, social groups, schools, and churches apply as sponsors to “adopt” needy families and try to make the holiday season a joyous one for those who are less fortunate. In September each year, the township coordinates with other area agency holiday program providers to outline programs and services to ensure that all who persons who need help are served.

To add your families name to the Holiday program, please call 630-968-2087 during the month of October.  Please inform the switchboard that you wish to be a sponsor so your call may be directed to the proper person.

Fundraiser for Matt Gill

A committee has been formed to pool the efforts of many to host a combined fundraiser this fall so we would like to invite you to:

The Fire truck Party

Fundraiser for Matt Gill

October 20th, 2013 from 2-5 p.m.

at Lisle Senior High School.

Attached is the flyer for the event – please feel free to forward it to anyone who may be interested in supporting or attending the event.

We are asking that everyone who plans to attend to please RSVP for the Fire Truck Party with the number attending to missionformatt@gmail.com .

All proceeds from this event as well as the ones that have already taken place at U of I and UW Whitewater will be deposited in a fund specifically for Matt (the Mission for Matt fund established in Matt’s name).  It also makes the management of any funds easier for the family to track so we are asking that other fundraising efforts also be directed to this fund – so if you are aware of any planned events please contact Leslie Prindeville through this email (just place her name in the Subject line) and we will be sure she has your contact information.

As we all know, it can be hard to be patient, but right now as the medical staff is working diligently to get Matt stable and on the path of strength and healing our most useful way of support is prayer for continued healing.  As we know more of the family’s needs we promise to do our best to relay them to you and let all know how best to support them – until then our own prayers lift up daily for Matt and his whole family.

Thank You
