Lisle Township Highway Department offers branch pick-up as a service to residents who live on
roads that we maintain. This program is intended to help homeowners dispose of limbs and branches
that do NOT qualify as yard waste. Our equipment is not designed to grind small twigs, evergreen
trimmings or rosebushes. Your garbage service will take yard waste and roots for a nominal
cost. If it is baggable, it is yard waste.
Branch pick-up begins on the 3rd Monday of these months: May, June, August
and September.
Please have your bundles at curbside by 6:30 a.m. of the first day of pickup. Often it
takes our crew three or more days to service the entire township. Therefore, your bundles may not
get picked up until later in the week. We make only one pass through each area each
month.
Please abide by the following rules:
-
ALL branches must be cut in lengths of four (4) feet or
less.
-
NO branches should be larger than four (4) inches in
diameter.
-
ALL branches must be securely bundled with twine, string or other comparable
material. Do not use wire or plastic, please.
-
EACH bundle should not exceed twenty-five (25) pounds in
weight.
If we do not pick up your brush, we will
leave a red tag notice citing the reason.
