Lisle Township

The staff at Lisle Township invites you to visit your Township and see how we are putting your tax dollars to work. We champion the philosophy that these are your buildings, your offices and your vehicles. It is our duty to fulfill this responsibility in the most cost efficient manner.  We do not duplicate services that are done by the villages, cities, county or state.

By law, Illinois Townships are charged with three basic functions:

1. General Assistance for the indigent;
2. The assessment of real property for the basis of local taxation;
3. Maintenance of all roads and bridges outside federal, state and other local jurisdictions.

Beyond those services established by state law, Township Government provides vital service to “The People Next Door.” Lisle Township has:

Ride DuPage,  a senior citizens transportation program

“Job Club” to support residents seeking employment,

Food pantry, to help feed those who are hungry.

Passport program, easy access to apply for US passports

“Triad” a program with the City of Naperville and Naperville Township to assist senior/disabled citizens with special needs. 

“LIHEAP” applications, a DuPage County program offering financial help with electric/gas bills.

Access DuPage, a medical program for low income DuPage County residents
